pure idiot mystery

my friend joe just called me. when i lived in athens, i was really involved with the town and gown players, a group of wonderful, talented people. today was their annual homecoming picnic. marie bruce’s husband showed up, killed her and tom tanner, then shot ben teague, who died later on the scene. these three people were my friends. they were generous people in generous community, and i cannot fathom how that community will rebound.

two other people were hurt by ricochets, countless others witnessed all this happen. please pray for the families of those hurt, and for the community that has suffered such a violent loss today. please pray for fran, who lost a husband, and camryn, who lost a dad. and the bruce children, who have effectively lost both parents today.

marie’s husband is still on the run. i hope they find him and keelhaul his ass.
